  • Travel needs, either for personal reasons, other work, or a vacation
  • Need for a restful break from caregiving
  • Need to care for things around their own household
  • Need for a change of pace
  • Need to transition loved one to long-term care and trying it out for a short period of time

At Abbey Senior Health, we provide short-term care for loved ones who regularly receive care from a family member in need of some temporary help. Without the family member’s aid, the relative in need might otherwise be admitted to a nursing home or assisted living community, but through our respite care services, they receive high-quality health care for a short time while their relative takes care of other life circumstances or simply receives a break.

We provide care and attention for respite care that is equal to the care given to our full-time residents. Our respite care guests enjoy services such as private rooms, three nutritious meals, daily activities open to all residents, on-call medical staff available at any time of day, priority access to our nursing home facilities, use of our short-term therapy programs*, and much more.

Additionally, we understand the emotional and physical needs of caregivers is just as important as the needs of those receiving care, and we make every effort we can to accommodate families where the caregiver might be experiencing the following:
